Karl-Anthony Towns Says Extension With Knicks Unlikely Before Regular Season

Karl-Anthony Towns addressed his contract status with the New York Knicks, indicating that discussions are unlikely to produce an agreement in the near term. Towns stated that the chances "don't look good" for finalizing a new contract extension before the start of the regular season. Towns is not expecting an extension to be completed with the franchise ahead of opening night. With the regular season approaching, Towns and the Knicks remain without a new deal in place.
