Kyrie Irving shifts from NBA Cup skeptic to believer as he joins the Mavericks

Kyrie Irving, who previously expressed skepticism about the NBA Cup, has publicly become a believer, as reported by The New York Times. His change of stance underscores a growing confidence in the league’s mid‑season tournament. Irving’s recent move to the Dallas Mavericks includes a partnership with rookie Cooper Flagg, which ESPN described as a “fun puzzle.” The collaboration pairs Irving’s veteran experience with Flagg’s potential. The Mavericks are slated to host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. ET, with the game broadcast on ESPN.
